Gromphadorhina Portentosa are found on Madagascar Island. This species ranges in size from ¼ inch to 3 inches in length. They also can live up to four year making them a great pet to have around. Hissers are wingless. The females have a longer body. The males have larger horns or (bumps) on their head and are used in fights for breeding rights to the female. The last segment of female abdomen has a wider band. (Will climb Smooth surfaces) They do not bite.
