They have NO exoskeleton or chitin, so there is 100% usable nutrition. They have high water content to help prevent dehydration and keep breeding animals hydrated. They get an average of 10g, which is equal to 36 ¾” crickets, 20 superworms or 40 waxworms by weight. Feeding just one large hornworm is enough to satisfy most animals. They are high in calcium, Their bright green turquoise color stimulates the most finicky eaters into eating. Hornworm food is a high protein gut load for the worms; the nutritional benefits get passed onto your animals since hornworms have a huge gut.
